2019 Jeep Cherokee Power & Handling

The Cherokee can be powered by one of three engines in the 2019 model year. Let's start with the brand new option. This 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder pumps out up to 295 lb-ft and 270 hp for up to 31 mpg on the highway. A 3.2L V6 engine, cranking out up to 239 lb-ft and 271 hp, is also available for most trim levels. The final engine and also the standard in the lineup is a 2.4L 4-cylinder that creates up to 171 lb-ft and 180 hp. Jeep mates all three engine options with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Cherokee is a Jeep so you can bet there are great 4x4 systems for advanced capabilities! The available systems include Active Drive I, Active Drive II, and the Trailhawk exclusive Active Drive Lock. The Cherokee also boasts a Selec-Terrain Traction Management Dial so you handle whatever terrain or weather Mother Nature may throw at you! 

2019 Ford Escape Power & Handling

The Ford Escape can also be powered by one of three engines in the 2019 model year. Up first we have the standard engine, a 2.5L 4-cylinder, that pumps out 170 lb-ft and 168 hp. The second engine, a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder, creates up to 177 lb-ft and 179 hp. The final engine that can power the Escape is a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder that deploys up to 275 lb-ft and 245 hp. All engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission by Ford. FWD is standard but you can opt for the available AWD configuration with all but the standard engine. Sadly, there are no 4x4 systems here!

2019 Jeep Cherokee Features & Design

Five Cherokee models are offered in the 2019 model year. The Latitude starts the lineup off with standard features like Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, folding passenger seats, automatic xenon headlights, a rearview camera, 7-inch touchscreen, a USB port, heated side mirrors, and 17-inch wheels. The upper trim levels are outfitted with even more incredible features like power-adjustable seats, leather upholstery, additional USB ports, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, cornering lights, heated and ventilated seats, sound-deadening glass, navigation, premium sound systems, and more! The Trailhawk is equipped with more off-roading geared features like increased ground clearance, tow hooks, skid plates, enhanced suspension tuning, and more!

2019 Ford Escape Features & Design

There are four Escape trim levels available for the 2019 model year. Standard features start off with the entry-level S model including features like a 4.2-inch central display screen, six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, USB port, CD player, MyKey parental controls, 17-inch steel wheels, cruise control, automatic headlights, cruise control, and basic smartphone integration. The higher trim levels are outfitted with features like keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, rear privacy glass, additional USB ports, an 8-inch touchscreen, power liftgate, remote engine start, xenon headlights, ambient interior lighting, and more.
