2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Power & Handling

The Grand Cherokee is powered by one of four engine options. The standard engine is a 295 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 that generates 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes configured with standard rear-wheel drive but four-wheel drive is available. The next engine offered is a 360 horsepower 5.7-liter V8 that produces 390 pound-feet of torque. The SRT trim level houses a 475 horsepower 6.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 470 pound-feet of torque. The last engine offered, powers the Trackhawk trim. This 707 horsepower turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 creates 645 pound-feet of torque. All V8 engines come with standard four-wheel drive and all engines, including the V6 are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Ford Edge Power & Handling

There are just two engines powering the Ford Edge. The standard engine, which powers all but one trim level, is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. This engine is configured with front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive is offered. The second engine only powers the ST trim. This twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 generates 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. This engine is configured with standard all-wheel-drive. Ford mates each engine to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Features & Design

Jeep offers seven Grand Cherokee trim levels in the 2020 model year. The base Laredo model is outfitted with Apple and Android smartphone integration, automatic dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, rear parking sensors, and a 7-inch touchscreen interface with Uconnect. The upper trim levels like the Limited, Overland and Summit come with heated seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, noise-canceling technology, premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a self-parking system. The Trailhawk comes with off-roading features while the SRT and Trackhawk come outfitted with features for performance-geared driving.

2020 Ford Edge Features & Design

There are only four trim levels to choose from when it comes to the Ford Edge. The base model is called the SE and it is equipped with a rearview camera, two USB ports, a 6-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple and Android smartphone integration, and 18-inch wheels. The SEL and Titanium trim levels add heated seats, simulated leather upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, navigation, front sport seats, and ambient cabin lighting. The ST trim adds sharper steering and a sport-tuned suspension.

The Ford Edge did try to keep up by offering a performance model but it just can't compete with the Grand Cherokee's SRT and Trackhawk trims. The Grand Cherokee also offers an off-roading trim level and tons of features in their other four luxurious trims as well.
