The 2019 Jeep Compass is a compact SUV with smooth on-road handling as well as impressive off-road capability. The Compass comes in four main trim levels ranging from a base model to a fully loaded model.


Sport: The base Sport model comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen, back up camera, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, a USB port, air conditioning, cloth bucket seats, 60/40-split folding rear seats, LATCH, hill start assist, all-speed traction control, and 16-inch wheels. An optional Upland special edition package includes matte black tow hooks, gloss black grille with black rings, gloss black roof, silver anodized interior accents, front Trailhawk fascia, 17-inch Trailhawk wheels, Trailhawk all-weather mats, and bright chrome exhaust tip.


Latitude: The Latitude builds upon the Sport models equipment list with larger wheels, keyless ignition and entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and upgraded cloth and simulated leather seat upholstery. An available Cold Weather Group package comes with a windshield wiper de-icer, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and remote start.


Limited: The Limited model comes fully equipped with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an upgraded driver information display, remote start, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a two-tone gloss black roof, piano black interior accents, a heated steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver's seat, larger 18-inch wheels, and an optional sunroof. An available High Altitude Appearance package includes navigation, 19-inch satin gloss granite wheels, satin gloss granite grille surrounds, deep-tint glass, anodized gunmetal interior finishes, LED tail lamps, high-intensity discharged headlamps with signature LED light, and tungsten interior stitching.


Trailhawk: The Trailhawk is geared towards the off-roads with 17-inch wheels, off-road-oriented tires, red tow hooks, a raised suspension, a matte-black hood accent, under-body skid plates, and Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with a 20:1 crawl ratio. The Trail Rated Trailhawk has an approach angle of 30-degrees, breakover angle of 24 degrees, departure angle of 34 degrees, and up to 19 inches of water fording.


Optional features for the 2019 Jeep Compass includes a power lift-gate, a premium Beats sound system, navigation, xenon headlights, automatic high beams, forward collision warning and mitigation, lane departure warning and intervention, and adaptive cruise control.


All versions of the 2019 Jeep Compass come equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is standard while four-wheel-drive is optional on all models expect the Trailhawk. The Trailhawk model comes standard with four-wheel-drive. The Sport and 4WD Latitude models come with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top tier Limited and Trailhawk models come exclusively paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Compass can make up to 32 miles per gallon while cruising on the highway.
