2018 Jeep Renegade Power & Handling

The Renegade offers two capable and powerful engine options for the 2018 model year. Up first is the turbo 1.4-liter inline-4 engine. This engine is standard on the Sport and Latitude trim levels and comes mated to a manual 6-speed transmission. This powertrain duo pumps out an impressive 184 lb-ft of torque and 160 horsepower. With both FWD and 4WD this engine is estimated to get up to 31 mpg on the highway. The second engine option, a 2.4-liter inline-4, is found standard on the Limited and Trailhawk models and optional for the previous two models. This engine is mated to an automatic 9-speed transmission and together they produce 175 lb-ft of torque and 180 horsepower. Four-wheel drive is available on the Sport, Latitude, and Limited models while it comes standard with the Trailhawk model. The 2.4-liter engine boosts the Renegades towing capabilities to 2,000 pounds!

2018 Ford EcoSport Power & Handling

The EcoSport offers two engine options for the 2018 model year as well. The first is a 1.0-liter turbo 3-cylinder engine that comes matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. Together, this powertrain delivers 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. This engine delivers an estimated fuel economy of 29 miles per gallon on the highway. The second engine option for the EcoSport is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that is also paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain cranks out 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. This engine is outfitted with all-wheel drive as standard and is estimated to reach 29 mpg on the highway as well. It's easy to see these engines are nowhere near as powerful as the options available for the Renegade.
