Discover the Lineup at Cuero CDJR
Introduced in 1969, the Dodge Challenger has risen to be the epitome of the American muscle car. As Dodge and the entire automotive industry continue marching into the future, the Challenger's current form is coming to an end at the end of the 2023 model year. Before this, however, Dodge is pulling all the stops to make the 2023 Challenger the most memorable one yet! This goal was achieved thanks in part to the lineup of Last Call special editions. These include Shakedown, Swinger, Black Ghost, and Demon 170. Each Last Call special edition pays homage to the Dodge Challenger's rich history. Please continue reading below to take a close look at each of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Last Call special editions!
Shakedown
In 2016, Dodge created the Challenger Shakedown as a concept car for the SEMA auto show. In 2023, however, that concept comes to life for the Last Call lineup. Using the R/T Scat Pack trim level as its base, the Shakedown special edition features a black and red color scheme both inside and out. The exterior features a Mopar Shaker hood, a script black 'Challenger' grille badge, red '392' front fender badges, 20-by-9.5-inch Low Gloss Black wheels, six-piston red Brembo brake calipers, a unique R/T grille badge, and black hood, roof, and deck lid striping with a red accent stripe. The Shakedown is available in both Destroyer Grey or Pitch Black exterior paint colors. Meanwhile, the interior features a 'Shakedown' instrument panel badge, Demonic Red seatbelts on Black Nappa/Alcantara seats, red accent stitching throughout, an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and more. The R/T Scat Pack, upon which the Shakedown is based, features a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Shakedown is also available with the Widebody Package, adding wheel flares and 20-by-11-inch wheels.

Swinger
The Swinger Last Call edition nods at the 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. To honor the iconic model, the Challenger Swinger Last Call edition features an F8 Green or Sublime Green paint job contrasted by an array of Gold School gold accents, creating a retro feel. The gold accents can be found on the spoiler badges, wheels, front fender '392' badges, grille badges, and Shaker hood air intake badge. The gold wheels are contrasted by black six-piston Brembo brake calipers. The rear fenders wear a 'Swinger' decal in a groovy retro font. Meanwhile, the interior features Mod Grain aluminum bezels with a simulated wood finish, black Nappa leather/Alcantara seats with green stitching, a 'Swinger' dash panel badge, and more. The Swinger Last Call edition is based on the R/T Scat Pack Widebody.

Black Ghost
The Black Ghost also draws a line back to 1970. Detroit native Godfrey Qualls tore up the city's famed Woodward Avenue one night in his black 1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE and then disappeared into the night, not seen again for months, earning his car the name Black Ghost. Paying homage to the vehicle that is now listed in the National Historic Vehicle Register, Dodge recreated the Black Ghost for the 2023 Challenger Last Call lineup. Based on the supercharged Hellcat Redeye trim, shaking the pavement with 807 horsepower, the Black Ghost comes with a Pitch Black paint job accented by a white deck lid vinyl, just like Qualls' 1970 Challenger. Other exterior features include Bright Chrome on the spoiler, grille, and fender badges, a Bright Chrome fuel filler door, a black gator skin roof vinyl, black six-piston Brembo brake calipers, a black Mopar hood pin kit, and 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels. Inside the Challenger Black Ghost, you'll find a Dynamica suede headliner, Laguna leather/Alcantara seating, an Alcantara steering wheel with an illuminated red SRT logo, and real carbon fiber bezels.

Demon 170
The Dodge Challenger Demon was first introduced in 2018, boasting 808 horsepower and a 4.5-second 0-60 time. However, Dodge reintroduced the Demon for the 2023 Challenger Last Call lineup, creating the most powerful and quickest production muscle car in the world. The all-new 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon 170 delivers an exhilarating 1,025 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque with a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8. This gives it a 0-60 time of 1.66 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 8.91 seconds at 151 MPH, and a G-force reading of 2.004 Gs at launch. While the Hellcat Redeye uses a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8, the Demon 170 uses the C170 Hellephant engine from Direct Connection. The Hellephant engine features a larger supercharger that provides a 40% increase in boost and a 30% increase in airflow. The engine also features high-flow fuel injectors to increase power and performance. The Challenger Demon 170 is the only production car to come from the factory with staggered wheel flares, as the front wheel flares from the Hellcat Redeye were removed while the rears remain. Meanwhile, the Demon 170 uses Mickey Thomson ET Street drag radials spanning 245 millimeters in the front and 315 millimeters in the rear. Some other impressive features for the Demon 170 include Bilstein adaptive damping suspension with Drag mode, Line Lock, Launch Control, Launch Assist, SRT Performance Pages, and much more.
