2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee
Dodge is continuing its rollout of the brand's "Last Call" lineup, announcing the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee, the second of seven special-edition "Last Call" models and one that honors a vehicle that has brought "buzz" to Dodge for decades. Dodge created these "Last Call" vehicles to commemorate the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, which are coming to an end in their current HEMI-engine-powered forms at the end of 2023.
The Original Dodge Super Bee
The Dodge Super Bee, first introduced in 1968, is a mid-sized muscle car and, as a Charger model for 1971, reached legendary status in its brief original four-year run by giving customers an ultra-high-performance vehicle that could serve as both a daily driver and a weekend warrior at the track or drag strip. The 1971 Dodge Charger models on offer included base, Charger SE, Charger Super Bee, and Charger R/T. The Charger was completely redesigned with a semi-fastback roofline, trunk lid with an integral spoiler, and six square taillights in an oval rear bumper. The wheelbase was shorter, but the car was wider, and the front overhang was longer.
Special Edition Super Bee
The 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee aims to carry on that legacy by offering the highest-performance Charger Super Bee model, with standard drag radials that help the Super Bee buzz the quarter mile like never before. It will also provide special Super Bee badging and graphics that dress up the hive. The Dodge Super Bee is more than commemorating a cool heritage name, it is also a Charger variant of the Challenger 1320 grassroots race package. The special-edition 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee offers a Dodge vehicle that is equally at home on the street or the drag strip.
2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee
A limited number of 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bees will populate the hive. The special-edition vehicle will see a production run of only 1,000, with 500 Charger Scat Pack and 500 Charger Scat Pack Widebody vehicles planned for production. In addition to Plus Group and Carbon/Suede Package content, the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee special-edition model showcases a swarm of unique features, including Super Bee exterior badging on the grille and front fenders. Along with Super Bee exterior graphics on the functional hood scoop and rear fenders. If you opt for the Scat Pack, you will be rolling on 20-by-9.5-inch knurled wheels with 275 drag radials and 18-by-11-inch drag wheels with 315 drag radials if you choose the Scat Pack Widebody.
The Future of Dodge
Dodge announced they are phasing out the Charger and Challenger after 2023 and moving to an electrified "eMuscle." era. Dodge is leaning heavily into its muscle-car heritage for its first-ever electric vehicle. They plan to bridge the gap between their fully electrified future and its Hemi-powered past with vehicles like the all-new Dodge Hornet.
