Thus, the Hurricane engine was created. The all-new Hurricane engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L straight-six engine. The all-new RHO comes with the high-output variant of the Hurricane engine, offering 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. While offering more power than the outgoing 5.7L HEMI V8, the RHO's high-output Hurricane engine also achieves greater fuel efficiency due to it having two fewer cylinders. Plus, the powertrain of the RHO is 150 pounds lighter than the outgoing high-performance Ram 1500 model, decreasing the power-to-weight ratio and enhancing performance. The RHO's new powerful engine, paired with four-wheel drive, less weight, and a smooth and robust eight-speed automatic transmission, gives it an exciting 118 MPH top speed, 4.6-second 0-60 time, and a quarter-mile time of 13.1 seconds. Beyond the high-performance abilities, the RHO is designed to take on rugged off-road trails with an advanced BorgWarner 48-13 transfer case. This is a full-time transfer case, built to be more robust with upgraded internals to take on any terrain with ease. Plus, with a gear ratio of 2.64:1 in four-low mode, the RHO is ideal for any technical climbs you may encounter.

The design of the all-new RHO is very reminiscent of the outgoing TRX trim, borrowing nearly all of its high-performance features. The high-performance design begins at the front end with an exclusive grille featuring a flow-through 'RAM' emblem flanked by reshaped headlights which are new for the 2025 model year and home to new bi-functional LED projector headlamps. Above the grille, you'll see a performance hood with a large functional hood scoop accentuated by three amber LED marker lights. The fierce look of the RHO is highlighted by an additional eight inches of overall width compared to the Core Ram 1500 lineup, featuring large fender flares to make way for the beefy all-terrain tires. Meanwhile, six inches of width is added to the track, creating a bulldog-like stance for the RHO. The RHO's rugged, high-performance exterior also includes black five-inch dual exhaust outlets, 18-inch alloy wheels,one rear tow hook, two front tow hooks, side mirror-integrated LED turn signals, an enlarged 'RAM' tailgate badge similar to the Rebel's, available beadlock-capable 18-inch alloy wheels, and optional RHO fender and hood decals. The interior is a perfect blend of high-performance functionality and modern creature comforts. The Core Ram 1500's rotary dial gear shifter is replaced by a console-mounted shift knob for a more high-performance feel. Meanwhile, the seats feature performance seat bolsters while offering supreme comfort with 12-way power adjustments, cooling, heating, and memory settings for five drivers. The seats are wrapped with plush Natura Plus leather upholstery with suede perforated inserts. Due to the RHO's crew cab design, rear seat occupants enjoy a class-leading 45.2 inches of legroom with reclining rear seats. In the rear, the Bilstein shocks, coupled with the five-link coil springs, boast a whopping 14 inches of suspension travel, while the front manages 13 inches. That's more than 40% more suspension travel compared to the Core Ram 1500 models. This keeps the 35-inch all-terrain tires grounded. The frame of the RHO is meticulously crafted to create space for this extra suspension travel without sacrificing cargo bed space. Finally, the massive tires, accompanied by a two-inch factory lift, provide the RHO with a towering 11.8 inches of ground clearance to easily pass over trail obstacles.
