Jeep reveals the first phase of its product offensive to become the leading electrified SUV brand in the world. The brand plans to introduce four zero-emission vehicles in North America by 2025. Electrified models will be offered across the Jeep lineup, including Wagoneer 4xe vehicles. Jeep plans to design and develop the most capable and sustainable SUVs to date on their path to becoming the leading zero-emission SUV brand in the world. Inspired by the success of Jeep's electrified 4xe lineup, Jeep has released images of possible all-electric SUVs. The all-new Jeep Recon and an all-new Wagoneer, code name Wagoneer S.
The All-new Jeep Recon
The all-new Recon is 100% Jeep and 100% Zero Emission, as one of the first all-new electric SUVs that Jeep will launch is the Recon. The Jeep Recon will be offered exclusively as a BEV, enhancing off-roading adventures with Jeep Trail Rated capability with Jeep Selec-Terrain traction management system, e-locker axle technology, under-body protection, tow hooks, and aggressive off-road tires. In addition, the Recon will offer authentic Jeep open-air freedom with a one-touch powertop, removable doors, and glass. You can reserve the new Jeep Recon BEV SUV in early 2023.
An All-new, All-electric Wagoneer
The Wagoneer family is also set to grow with an all-new SUV. Code-named Wagoneer S, this fully electric vehicle will continue to expand the brand's presence in the premium SUV segment by offering a unique, sleek, aerodynamic design and 4x4 capability as standard, with all-terrain management, advanced Jeep brand-focused technology, and impressive performance credentials. This new, all-electric SUV will be offered exclusively as a BEV, targeting a range of 400 miles on a single charge, 600 horsepower, and a 0-60 mph time of around 3.5 seconds. With an exterior design marked by a signature LED-lit grille, this SUV is driven by aerodynamic efficiency, combined with the upright iconic Wagoneer side view.
4xe Is the New 4x4
Of course, Jeep plans to expand its 4xe portfolio, enhancing its legendary 4x4 capability with electrification and technology. This is evident with the Grand Cherokee 4xe and the Wrangler 4xe! In addition, Jeep plans to move forward to become fully electric by 2030. Jeep's mission to make electric legendary 4x4 SUVs allow more customers in more segments to join us on our path toward Zero Emission Freedom.
