Standard equipment for the 2025 model year is the same 3.6L V6 engine that the Ram 1500 has relied on since 2011. Offering Ram 1500 drivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, the standard V6 engine offers enough power for any job or activity. However, Ram is replacing the previous generation's V8 engines with the more fuel-efficient yet more powerful Hurricane engine. The all-new Hurricane engine is a 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine with two low-inertia, twin-scroll turbochargers providing forced air induction. By swapping out the naturally aspirated V8 engine with a forced air induction straight-six engine, Ram 1500 models equipped with the Hurricane engine provide V8-like power with fewer emissions and better fuel economy. In fact, while the previous generation's 5.7L HEMI V8 delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, the all-new standard output Hurricane engine pumps out a hefty 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, which is a significant increase given its greater fuel efficiency. Meanwhile, the high-output variant rips out 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. While the standard output variant is optional for the Tradesman and Big Horn trims, it comes standard with the Laramie and Rebel trims, while the high-output variant is optional. Meanwhile, the Limited and Tungsten trims come exclusively with the high-output hurricane engine.

The grille of the new Ram 1500 is enlarged, while the fascia is leaned forward, and the headlights are reshaped and given standard LED bulbs, giving the new model an overall more confident, heroic posture. Meanwhile, the Big Horn and Laramie's chrome grilles, the Rebel's black grille, and the Limited's more sophisticated one still remain while bringing the new, confident appearance. The Rebel trim gains new standard leather-trimmed seats while carrying on the traditional red-on-black color scheme. Meanwhile, the new Ram 1500 Limited presents a more luxurious cabin with a new Black Ebony natural wood dashboard and steering wheel trim. Inside, the Big Horn is now eligible for a Diesel Gray color scheme, while a Bison Brown/Sea Salt Gray scheme is optional for the Laramie trim. Finally, Ram introduced the next generation of luxury trucks with the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten. The Tungsten trim takes the luxury provided by the Limited trim by installing 100% Natura Plus leather upholstery, a Sea Salt Gray/Indigo color scheme, heated/ventilated front seats with massaging lumbar support, 24-way power-adjustable front seats, reclining rear seats, heated/ventilated rear outboard seats, and much more. Meanwhile, the Tungsten is extremely technologically advanced, with the largest-in-class touchscreen spanning 14.5 inches, Uconnect 5 infotainment software, an industry-exclusive 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premier audio system, and more.

In addition to the Tungsten trim level, Ram has revealed their new Core/Sport/Electric initiative. While the aforementioned lineup is considered the Core Ram 1500 lineup, the Sport segment is headed up by the all-new Ram 1500 RHO. Ram's latest high-performance creation, the RHO, is powered by the high-output Hurricane engine and borrows much of its features from the previous generation's high-performance model, including Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shock absorbers, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, nine drive modes, standard 4-wheel drive, a high-speed electronic locking rear differential, launch control, a console-mounted performance shifter, and much more. Meanwhile, the 2025 model year also introduces Ram's first-ever electrified vehicle, the all-new Ram 1500 Ramcharger. The Ramcharger is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that uses the 3.6L V6 engine as a generator for a pair of electric motors - one on each axle - and a lithium-ion battery pack. This setup gives the Ramcharger an impressive 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque! Furthermore, Ram has targeted a 690-mile total driving range with the Ramcharger!
